Do you think winching can/will ever become part of snowboarding? I have seen it done a little in various ways.
Do you think a winch will be somting parents buy there kids and say here go have fun with this? like kids in the country, i grew up in the country and there were mad ponds/creeks/rivers i could of hit. I would of done all sorts of things with one, not all involving water either. _________________ the only thing worse then the freshman 15 is the freshman 9lbs 5oz |

i think winches will be something that people buy instead of boats that have ponds and creeks around their houses.
its getting to where you dont have to have a boat or live close to a river/lake to enjoy wakeskating and thats the best part of this sport _________________ F^ck the Revolution. |

2 seasons ago I saw Nick Ennen snowboarding on Western Washington University's Campus with a winch. Looked like a Grynch. |

I built my winch because of the gas $$$ and the trans. in my boat also went out over the summer. It's soooo much more practical to get off work throw the winch on your rig and go and at the end of the day you just load your gear up in the car and leave no loading the boat on the trailer, no end of day cleanup, and no $100 gas expense _________________ Go Balls Deep Or Go Home |

yeah, gas is the main reason im getting one, and so i can ride where ever and whenever i feel like.
my girl can pull me behind the boat, i feel sure she can operate a winch

its pretty easy to drive w/ the stock throttle. just set the governer screw and go. stopping is a little bit of finess though, but still easy _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. I said take me to the sea and let my mother bury me." Buck-0-Nine |

ACT.
that sucks man, just buy one or build the material to build one. then when your shredding in local ponds you can throw it in his face that you did it on your own. thats pretty much what i have to do with everything now, me and my dad dont see eye to eye. |

i think it's a matter of time before everyone has one...
As far as using it in the snow/winter...I'm out here in Vail, CO to shredd the winter, and I broght my winch with me.
Soo many spots you can utilize the winch for tow ins and stuff. _________________ Aaron |

wakeboarderx03x, yeah man thats what im saying.
hell i pack up to go camp in the mtns or something, if i had a winch...my winch and wakeskate would be something to lug along with me everywhere.
its a great investment, and i dont see how anyone can disagree _________________ F^ck the Revolution. |

In one of the recent issues of TW Snow, someone wrote a letter asking how to build a drop in ramp. The reply was something like, "blud, get with the times. SRSRLY. DROP Ramps are a almost a decade old now. Wait til you see this year's shred flicks, It is all about the portable tow rope devices now"....I assumed the responder was talking about a winch or something like it.
Winching for snow makes a lot of sense for jibbing. More often than not, the limiting factor is how you get speed. |

i think that if a popular professional snowboarder put in work on a part using a wHinch, the wHinch would definately be in every film crews trailer the following filming season. i also think it is a hot ticket for a rider to produce a pretty original part. only a matter of time i guess. |
