i thin kthat wake tricks deserve more repect and more progression. a couple of my freinds said that the sport should go away from the wake tricks and keep it stricly skate style on the water. but if you think of wakeskating from a skateboard presepctive wakeskating has street and vert aspects, so it is the best of both worlds and wake tricks and skatestyle tricks should have equal respect.

gregg, I agree with you in that aspect but the point about wakeskating is that you can still have fun on a boat with no wake, where w2w isn't an opition, so really lip and flip tircks are where its at Very Happy

to me, w2w is akin to hip's and different tranny stuff like that. W2W totally has it's place and when someone lands a w2w frontside flip the haters will die in embarasment

Wakeskating is what you make it, not what you saw on a video the day before

and this 450 out, 270 on stuff will peak out and the cassette team will start doing new things and the sheep will follow

i completely agree with what all you guys are saying, some peple (even on this website) can be really gay and say the this trick is stupid, or you should only do that. when i go out there i just have a great time and i dont give a shizzle if i look like and retard. wakeskating is all about the good times for me

do what you wanna do, respect the aspects that you deem respectable, and have fun no matter what anyone else thinks or says.

also respect is earned. you cant just all of a sudden give respect to w2w tricks. when someone comes along and starts killing it off the wake, things will change...

scott a, yeah I'm with tribal on that one...there are some serious riders out there that can absolutely tear the shite out of the wake to wake aspect...Grubb has been throwing some huge wake to wake tricks for as long as I can remember.

minus_gravity, if grubb is "throwin some huge wake to wake tricks" then why arent more people wanting to give it more respect? if people start throwing kickflip to blind or something then maybe people might.

has grubb got that w2w kickflip consistent yet? Laughing

vance, yeah i think he landed one in all or nothing or one of the videos that came out around that time, but he's apparently been struggling with it. when he was in town for the hyperlite demo tour a few months ago, someone asked him how his kickflip was coming. he said something along the lines that he still couldnt land it to save his life, then went back to inspecting his perfectly highlighted hair while commenting on how he liked the sunscape 23 lsv that k-dub brought out for the demo...
