electricsnow, Rice parts refers to stuff you would see on a street racer's car. (I.E. massive spoilers, loud tailpipes that sound like chainsaws, body kits, extra unneccisary lights, etc.) The term "rice" is in relation to the fact that pretty much all of the cars that people add this things to are made in Japan. (And rice is related to that country.)

Vance,

Do you have to go over speed bumps or bumps in the road sideways and at 2 MPH?

rice parts are what people put on their rice rockets; clear corners, huge spoiler, and coffee can exuast tip

CWBoarder691, absolutly right, a big bodacious wing does shizzle below 160 or so. and for that matter a body kit doesn't do shizzle under 150 either unless you need more room, and air for an intercooler or something.

E-snow "ricer parts" are usless bolt ons for imports, not to be confused with real import parts on real import preformance vehicles, for example Acura RSX type S ( an actual factory preformance 2 door sports car ) with intake full cat, and back exhaust, headers, JDM lip kit, and 17 or 18 inch REAL racing wheels(rays magnesium for example) with a carbon hood and for god sakes WINGLESS is actually a nice import car,
However, a 4 door civic with a 3ft wing , body kit, fartpipe ( mufller and tip combined into a single ugly piece) glowing windshield squirters, and glowing upsidedown acura emblems, neon underbody, shift knob with leds, and clear lights all the way around with funny colored bulbs equals a ricer p.o.s.

BTW the term ricer refers to the derogatory slang "Rice Burner" a term used by people ( mostly fans of domestic preformance cars ) to classify import cars, however with the release of legitimate import preformers( Acura RSX type S, Celica GTS TRD, 350Z Track Model, Subaru WRX, Lancer EvoVIII) it has been shortened, and relegated to a term for hack jobs; passenger cars not made for preformance, but rather getting groceries(Scion, XA and XB, Corollas, Civics, Accords, Camrys, Base Model Lancers) that are wannabe 2fast 2furious cars, with parts that "look Cool" but don't do anything for the car's preformance.

EDIT: BTW I drive a 1972 4x4 K-5 Blazer, on 33's with a 425 hp 350(5.7l) small block chevy

I would say the same about lifting trucks, my jeep was lifted....But my R/T would look rather funny lifted and harder to run lower 1/4 mile times with 33's under it...some trucks just look good low i.e. Lightenings, Silverado SS, R/Ts

Thanks guys, for the info on what ricing is. I'm in the dark on that crap...I don't even know what half the parts are that you guys listed. I run a ford explorer with a dwellers sticker on it--STOCK!

And I hate the way neon lights look on cars.

Consider yourself lucky, I could go into my old school's parking lot, close my eyes and throw a rock and probably hit 2 rice rocket cars... Crappy ones, like Dodge Neons with 3 foot aluminum spoilers and a disgusting decal that says 'NEON' on the windshield and of course a fart exhaust that drags on the ground half the time.

El, I find your posts to be amusing and enlightening...

I had wanna-be hicks at my school, so one day, if I aimed a rock just right, I could have hit a tractor in the school parking lot. This guy didn't even live on a farm or anything like that...I don't even know why it's cool to pretend you're a hick...some secret society, maybe? Yeah, I'll bet it has to do with cow teats or something...
