Shoes make a huge difference in your riding. I like really thin soles so I just take out the insoles so I can feel my skate and I have been rocking the reefs for the past 3 years and I love them I had one old pair fall apart and the rest have help up really good.

idc what kinda shoes they are...as long as they are cheap and i can feel the board rly well. is the sole is too think i dont feel legit on my board(IE: dvs)

I say UGP! I have rode DVS, Etnies, Nike, Osiris, and the UGP shoes hold up the best and fit amazing!!

DVS has probably been my all around favorite, just from aesthetics to function. UGPs are really sick as well--as scott said, they're super durable.

i have ridden all the byerlys, have some ugp's, and have tried some nike's. i only like the reefs. the ugp hold water and it sloshes around and they dont grip well, and the nike's didnt grip either. plus reef's the coolest company out of all 3
