I think it's personal preference, that being said go try a cassette, Kampus, integrity, try anything you can get your hands on the more you ride the better you will know, I've riddden everything except the integrity, and the new bi level cassette ( b/c they weren't available at the time) and I chose the gate, even though most people hate it, it feels good to me, my two cents _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

Baldee, Same advise than Kento. Try out as many brands and board you can! There is a real difference between riding wood and composite. It is up to taste (try to disregard what you may read in this forum about good and bad brand and make your own opinion. Wakeskating should be about individuality and progression that is all. There is room in the sport for all brands, all style, all board....up to taste! |

^^^^ AGREED^^^^ 100% I personaly hate the compression molded boards becuase i think wood just has better snap and its what works best for me and the way i ride... but deffenitly ride the diffrent boards and make your own personal decision. Ride whatever works best for you and your budget.
Too many people take things way too seriously around here and forget that wakeskating is all about fun and if you arent having fun doing it my best advice is to quit, because you are worthless to the sport. _________________ arson-wake.com |

SleuCrew, A-fuc-king-men, I have a friend who got a 118 motive from a yardsale for 30 bucks and gripped it, and he can do shuvs and ollie on it just fine( not saying he can't do better on a better board) at least he's having fun and riding most importantly _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

Parky, that was the point of mine,Mr. F, and SleuCrew, posts, how do you know he will like anything, maybe he likes compression molded skinny boads like the caty, maybe he'll like lunch tray shaped k-39s, maybe he'll want a bi-lev b/c he has a snow skate b/g our point, or at least mine was it's foolish to "suggest" boards to people without at least talking to them specifically about their ability, style, and what feel they like, just my opinion though, on what I did/do for a living (when college doesn't interfere) _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

yeah the best advice is to ride every single board you get a chance to...and then get whichever one you liked the most out of them. _________________ R.I.P. JT- we all know you're slayshin up above, smack the lip off a cloud for us!

well i have to say that where i live you can not try any boards at all. i think the only one i saw for demo was a cwb lucky. with that being said, it is kinda tough to choose. if youre in a situation like myself, i guess you just have to think about what you think you would like and go from there. i think youll adjust pretty well to anyboard you get. then if it just doesnt feel right you can sell it or trade it or just get a new one.
for me, i ride a byerly. the major deciding factor for me was that i knew it would last. i read some reviews on it and didnt hear many bad ones and knew i wouldnt have problems with delaming and such. the ride is fine for me. i havent been able to compare it to anything (except a lucky) so to me it is the best board i have ridden. im looking to upgrade in the next year or so though, because it looks like board designs are improving greatly.
hope i could help. |
