Ron Paul could not have fixed this.

I appreciate his ideals and agree with most of his points, but he would be a totally ineffective president.

The president is only one part of the system, the other parts of the system need to agree as well.

No one really knows how bad the economy is, it's one of those wait and see kind of situations...

i see it has a huge opportunity. discounted stocks, i took advantage of it yesterday when it dropped 777 points. today it rebounded 467.(bargain hunters)

As much as I love Ponce de Raul, this has been boiling since the housing market started booming and the banks started taking advantage of the blue skies market of the time. It became a bubble and things were worth more on paper than they were in reality, not to mention America is overpriced on the whole. For once, Ron Paul's ideal of nonregulation would have been catastrophic.

i dont understand bush's thought process, giving 7 trillion to companies who have made billions from america, and getting that 7 trillion from the tax payers, even when the companies said they cant pay it back....

take from the poor to give to the rich..... makes no sense

anyone who runs a small company can tell you that this a horrible idea

triggamike, it's actually 700 billion, not 7 trillion.

I don't think anyone really "knows what's going on" the problem is that the debt is so widely dispersed it's hard to track down exactly how big of an issue we have on our hands right now...
