how is everyone shallow water starting??? i dont have a slide off. was thinking of using a plastic chair about knee deep. thoughts,...suggestions.........

Set up a stool close to the shoreline, sit there with board in hand.. wait for the tide to come in so there's more water underneath you, drop the board under you and take off 8)

also if you can time it right, my friend was starting by just acid dropping as the tide would come in..

yea just jump on the board / acid drop when your ready.... thats how we start now... its easier on the winch and the rider imo

it will take some practice for both the driver and rider to time it right but ultimately way cooler overall better way to get goin

the "acid drop" term gives me flashbacks,......................thanks guys!!! im trying to figure out the best way because of this cheap ass rope im going to try to use if the weather cooperates. want as less strain as possible.

The best thing is one of the roll out mats that ppl use to lay one. They also have them at pools for the lifeguards, those mats that they lay the victims on when they're doin cpr. Those things are slippery as hell. i.e. perfect.

wakeboarderx03x, how do you keep the mat from moving when the waves come rolling thru.

i find it easy to just wait for the waves to roll in then when they pass you signal to the driver. he punches it you jump on the skate a bam... beach winching

I dont know about the ocean, but it works like a charm in a lake situation.
