Ok, those who are posting saying one person got him banned and whatever else do not know what you're talking about. I took into consideration a wide variety of opinions and experiences, ranging from people who hang out on the site, to people who have actually ridden with him in person. I did not decide to do this out of thin air, and people have been saying stuff for a long time.

Secondly, to whoever said that dirtycracker's not gone, that's already an example of a hole in his facade. I'm not saying he HAS to leave for good, and I'm not begging him to come here either. but if he's going to make some grand statement on his little blog about how he doesn't want to be in detention and he's gone forever, yet now he's back? That lasted a day, and everything he said was disingenuous.

Third, I never received any PM's about death threats, so forget you even read that because it's nonsense.

Finally, erikmonty, you're totally blowing this out of proportion. Dirtycracker isn't even on a permanent ban, he's on a temporary ban for a month. I fully explained to him where I came from, how negative impressions are created and why I decided this would be the best course of action.

And yes, people have left, or at least have resorted to lurking on this site--people that I used to chat with, and I've been on wakeskating.com since it first started. While I'm not blaming it solely on one person, because this sort of thing has happened before (I think it's a generational thing), there are consistent comments comming in that persuaded me to pay closer attention to the situation. I'm not going to be able to accomodate every single person on here--this thread is a testament to that--but again, in this situation I'm looking at the majority.

actually, I sent DBO #2 a warning message yesterday when I sent dirtycracker one. I went back and forth with DC a number of times and I know others tried to inform him and help him on here, so he had a number of warning signs.

Eventually the sticky dragon88 has on the forum page will be revise to reflect what we expect out of everyone on here. I'm not saying that you have to be uber serious, but bring SOMETHING to the table. Don't come on here to be a dick to everyone because you're wasting everyone's time.

I'm on the fence about DC being suspended from here. On one hand I can agree because he did hijack quite a few too many threads in the general wake section and I can see people getting a lil tired of his somewhat overzelous self promotion/ambition( not saying that's entirely bad but it just has to be kept in check or reigned in a bit). But on the other hand, he did keep most of his rants in the non wake section, did have some funny stuff to make you crack up, hasn't been as negative lately, was actually contributing to stuff alot more, and is clearly stoked on this site and wakeskating as much as anybody. Whatever the case may be, hope he joins us back here with the good stuff and at least a lil less of the bad.

DBO #2, I bet you drive a big truck too as another sign of your manliness huh. With the way you talk it sounds like you must be lacking or hiding something

soflostile, didn't you get put in time out for a month? everyone has different opinions and it isnt a matter of thinking the same or agreeing with everything...its a matter of respecting the different opinions and thinking outside the box and opening up your mind to new ideas.

i honestly don't know what the mods thoughts were on DC. All i do know is that it isn't any of the reasons the kids defending DC are saying.
