Best engine out there, want an engine strong enough for pulling out of the water. I checked my local harbor freight and the only engine they had was some generic engine. Name of it was like Central Machinery, was a 13hp and i think it said about 2500rpm of torque i think. Just wondering what engines you guys reccomend. I also got a store in my town that sells honda gx's but there all like 600 and up, store also sells Briggs 6.5 for about 237.00 . So yeah guys just let me no any recomendations you may have, I want an engine that can pull us outta the water and have plenty power to ride rails, and do some ocean winching.

O btw i weigh 200 and im 6'5, if that matters.

the 13 is overkill and unnecessary weight. An 8 or 9 hp is the nmost u will need. If those are your only two options go for the 6.5 B&S.

honda = mad$$$$

I have a 6.5 briggs and for the most part it's a great engine. Only thing is that it takes it a few pulls with the lightweights (170 and lower) before it will want to pull the bigger guys...
