we set it up about 40 feet from shore in about 3-4 feet of water, 30 feet further out the water is about 10-12 feet. so you could use a boat, but its just easier to use the waverunner. |

i don't keep it in the water, but usually its out all weekend. plus it takes 5 minutes to put in, so its not a bit deal to pull it and put it back in.
the first day we had it in the lake everyone was like "what is this?" Old folks were takin pictures, drunk hillbillies were cheering and shouting when we bailed. Everyone seemed to like it or not care. Then this fisherman w/ his familly putts by and yells at us for not having a spotter on the ski and the driver not wearing a jacket. Then he tells us that he is a county deputy and the rail is an "illegal structure" because it has metal in the water. I then ask him to take a serious look at any dock on the lake and get back to me. that really pissed him off and he said he was calling the cops and they would be here in 20 minutes. just to be safe we removed the rail and called it a day. never saw or heard from the cops that day. other than that there have been no problems. |
