is there a resale store around your area? I just bought new shoes (spent about $60 on them) and then saw them at ROSS for $25. I was not stoked. Sad

the walmart velcros are rather comfy for day to day use...so I would imagine they would be nice for skating like others have said... That are 9.98 here in knoxville...

I was just going to say eff walmart. Do you have any old shoes that you could wear in the water? Old skate shoes or even old running shoes? I tried running shoes because they were high performance jobbies (ie lots of mesh) and I felt like a dork. But they will work.

and you'll love your UGPs. Cool

That's all I skate in. IMO you'd feel more like a dork in velcro grandpa shoes.

I think I'd like the grandpa velcro shoes because when I was a young lass, I desperately wanted velcro shoes, but my mom made me get shoes with laces. (you know, if you want to be a pro at tying shoes, you have to practice!) It's a grudge I've never let go of. Razz

For real though, aesthetics are all personal. Cool
