Congrats man....it's a good feeling to stick your frist 3 shuv. Some may disagree, but for me, that trick was like stepping up to a new level. Nice work! |

That's sick man. I was working on mine last weekend, super close, but landing on the tail with my feet together, just couldn't pull them out. What did you try different than normal to stick it?
Dave is also definitely right, 3 shuv to me is in another level of ability, I want one so bad before the summer is over, drop a post if you have any suggestions for sticking it, and pop is not an issue, just landing it is.
Congrats again, thats sick. |

| Patrick Quinn, I started out just trying stuff, first I exaggerated the shuvit foot position and tried a few, but i have a bad habit of stomping with my feet together. I was getting really close, so I took a break, rode around on the boat for like 10 mins and thought about it. Then I tried spreading my feet apart just a little more than normal, and on my third try with that I stomped it clean. |

I alao have a problem not seperating my feet. I really have to concentrate on that or I'll land with my feet close together. It is a mental block that I have or something. When I make it a point to spread my feet, I land them a lot easier.[

One of the best tips I can give you for learning 3 shuvs is to do them when you cut out from the wake before your board sinks down. Cut out and immediately throw the shuv. Don't even wait a second or you will sink down and make it a lot harder on yourself.
That worked for me when I was learning them. Good luck! |
