Ha, thanks for the compliment. I actually just try to stay away from that forum because it's just difficult to discuss things with some people there. There are a number of people that have respectable opinions and they're easy to talk with, and I enjoy reading what they have to say, but others are so set in their ways that it's just ridiculous. You saw how that rodeo flip thread went--sensible efforts can be futile on some people. So basically, If I want to REALLY talk about snowboarding, I'd rather go to transworld.com or wherever else. but not to a wakeboarding forum.

And on another note (still in reference to that capita kid) I can totally respect where he's coming from (i.e. caring about the state of snowboarding, and the fact that he's loyal to some of the things he believes in), but at the same time I find it strange that he's blaming everything on burton, when there are insane ski company conglomerates in snowboarding that could have easily bought up fourstar. Even though I'm not interested in fourstar anymore, because it isn't the same company (or group of companies) it once was, I'd rather have burton buy it and not K2 (or whomever). And seriously, there will always be an influx of "core companies" in snowboarding. They just need to learn how to watch their money and maintain a good rapport with their dealers, amongst other things I'm sure (all of which fourstar seemed to fail at). Anyway, I can't go to that forum! AHHHHHH!!

Electric yea I completely agree with you, that its better to be baught by a snowboard company to say the least. Fourstar's product really went down hill in the past few years IMO too much money in riders contracts vs acctually doing R&D on the equip. I was never really that into Fourm and what not. I know what you mean though, last time i went in that fourm i just kinda shook my head in Dissapointment.

On a off note have you seen the old wakeboard vid "How to Ride a Wakeboard"? Oh man that movie rocks! Laughing

Exactly. It's not like burton is perfect and they aren't the same company they once were either, but as you said, I'd rather have a snowboard company buy a snowboard company.

And you're right about the quality of the boards dropping. My shop hasn't had much as far as warranty issues are concerned (which could be for a number of reasons) but last year, they didn't even buy any jeenyus' and they ordered very few forums. Asthetically, the boards looked like poop (according to my shop).

And yes, I've totally seen "how to ride a wakeboard." I didn't know if I was lame or what, but sometimes I'd watch that video just for fun. You know, fast forward past donna warren trying to teach you how to get up on a wakeboard and then watch guys like byerly, gator, and CC KILL it! Seriously, it is good...

I couldn't stop laughing the whole movie, its just so quality in so many different ways! But the riding is definitely sick.
