the disadvantages of having a small wake skate scene:

Today me and the 2 only other wake skaters I know planned a winch sesh and a new pond that was created thanks to some monsoon rain. I was chilling with one of my buddies waiting for the other one to get off work. (We would've winched without him but we decided to wait) Then right at sunset the guy that just got off work completely bailed for his gf. And as soon as the first guy bailed the second guy decided that he didn't want it to be just the two of us so he bailed.

What pisses me off is I didn't make plans with anyone else just so I could skate and now I'm stuck on this site for the rest of the night.

Moral of the topic: With a small scene, if one bails, the fun is ruined.

dude just go to the skate park....and pick up a couple newbs to get them into it ..........

I know how you feel man. I can't seem to catch a break on skating. Its just me and my dad, and he has the boat.. so if I want to go.. he has to come with. Also I'm stuck finding a third. I got one of my friends into it but hes sketch so idk. I hate how everything has to be in the right order just if I wanna go skate. Then I get out on the lake and its whitecaps. WTF

The only other people I know that are into watersoprts are brosive raile throwing strappers by day and lame wake surfers by later day.

invite lots of people out to ride with you. even if the person has never skateboarded, snowboarded or surfed before, and you can pretty much tell they are going to have a hard time getting up their first few tries. if you invite enough people out to try the sport you will run into a couple that get bitten by the wakeskating bug.

as nick said, build your own scene.

One friend was sick so that's cool but my other buddy ditched me to drive 2 hours to watch his gf PRACTICE softball. wtf??

If I could operate my winch and ride behind it at the same time, I would.
