Well today, like the past 2 days, has been extremely hectic at work. I work at ICT in the branch that represents Barclays bank. LL bean has recently switched the provider of their credit card from Bank of America to Barclays. Actually, the first day this went into effect was my first day on the job, and they gave me a mic and a mic box that were both faulty so for the first hour and a half I was very confused as to why nobody could understand me, and why I was being treated hostile at times.

so pretty much I deal with 80+ year old dedicated customers to LL bean that are confused as to why they have to get a new card with barclays. Some, of course, are alot easier to deal with than others, and then there are the few that obviously call in with the intent to just show their discontent with whoever they are angry at. And it wouldn't be that bad if I had like 30 seconds to recuperate inbetween calls, but from the second the one call ends, another customer is put on the line with me.

I got this job because it was better pay than my last job, and I figured it would be alot better than manual labor for under minimum wage under the table. I also thought that I would come home with plenty of energy to go party, and maybe spend a little quality time my girl rather than come home physically exhausted. unfortunately I come home unnaturally stressed and mentally exhausted (and this is a problem when i can't even chickity china the chinese chicken a girl at the end of the day)

I get paid 9 dollars an hour here so that comes out to a net pay of a little over 300 a week (i think, haven't worked a full week yet) For the 3 days of training last week I got paid about a gross of 180 if i remember correctly (which i'm only getting about 30 of, you'll find out why in a little bit) And I was planning to spend the first paycheck and a half on stereo equipment for my car and a new head unit for my girls car.

Today I went to my 30 minute requiem called lunch break, and today as in 3 out of the 6 days i've worked/trained there I drove my car about 3 minutes down the road to get some 89 cent orgasms at taco bell. While i was eating, i saw a cop drive by (coming from the highway into the shopping plex type area) and as always when I see someone from the force, got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. We all get it, even when we are doing nothing wrong. But after he was out of sight, i just brushed it off and continued with my meal. After I was done eating, I had plenty of time to get back to work so I was just going to take my time, make a few texts and calls before I got back to work (no cell phones, its illegal) I pulled out of the taco bell and caught a red Chrysler sebring (hard top, not convertible) coming in hot in my rear view mirror. There was a stop sign in front of me (almost pointless one) so in order to not get rear ended (because thats the last thing i need) i looked left, looked right, and accelerated through the stop sign. when i got back onto the highway, which isn't even a 100 yards from the stop sign, i was greeted by a red light. I glance in my rear view as i always do when stopped, I saw some BEAUTIFUL flashing lights.

so I pull over pretty much right at the intersection, because this is only the second time I've ever been pulled over, but first time sober. (I got pulled over at the beach, and was let of with a warning because my passengers were hanging out of the windows.) The guy comes up to the window, blah blah blah you blew through that stop sign blah blah grumble grumble grumble. The guy was extremely nice, don't get the wrong message, and hes just doing his job, and i'm handling it the best i can. I admit to blowing through the stop sign, told him about the other car, which he blew off, and he went back to his car. Due to how nice he was being, I thought i would get only a warning and get let off. He comes back, gives me the citation blabs about what to do with it and where to take it and leaves.

so now, I have my first traffic offense with running a stop sign that i have to pay in 10 days. I'm not exactly sure where the office is, but i'll find it.

oh yeah, the ticket is for 108 dollars.

how much will this make my insurance go up? I'm insured with usaa and get an amazing deal, but i'm wondering how much this will make it go up.

you should set up a hearing, if he saw you blow the stop sign he obviously saw the car behind you, and knew you were trying to avoid an accident. obviously you still broke the law but you never know, he might not even show up. if it's your first ticket your insurance usually won't change much if at all. it's the second one that usually boosts it through the roof.

bro challenge that crap! i dont know ur local law but i got a 180dollar speeding ticket leaving frys oneday and challenged it, missed the court date and it still got dropped lol, that was lucky but in florida, everyone i know challeges em andmostly win. if u say that the cop was barreling down on u and ur were scared of getting rear ended, and u safely rolled the stop sign, u have a really good chance. i was really doing 65 in a 45 and got off so hopefully u can to. also in florida u can take a drivers course to get the points off and ur insurance doesnt go up at all
