i/o kickflips or in the flats??

hey i've been working on my kickflips for a while now and i keep eating shiz so i looked online at some tips and a lot of them say to first try it doing in/out. is that a good suggestion??? and also how fast?

flats. i learn all of my tricks in the flats then take them to the I/O. WAY easier, because you are moving forward, not diagonaly, if that makes any sense

learn them in the flats. if you learn them inside out, it will be a beach the get them in the flats.

ok so i am just not figuring them out.....im landing board evert time but i cant get the placement of the flip to be consistant , one is 5 feet from me, the next one is right under me, i just dont get it .... my shins can only take so much failure Neutral

im closer i/o than flat
but i figure ill never get em if i dont get em flat

wakeninja, go with them in the flats first! Otherwise it will be a beach when you want to kflip over something when you progress later on...
