believe it or not this is the brief version....

So one morning after my football game, I wake up and can't walk and my wrist is swollen so big it looks like it is broken. I don't say anything (i think i just got hurt in the game) and go to practice satuday morning.(big mistake) The foot hurting kinda went away so I didnt think anything of it. As the day goes on the hand gets worse and worse. I get home from practice and try and relax but I can't because I'm in so much pain. That night it progressively got worse. I didn't get a minute of sleep, just tossing and turning and grinding my teeth (from the pain) all night. I wake up sunday, my hand is more swollen and can't walk again. But this time i can't walk at all, the whole day. By this time my hand doesn't even look like a hand anymore because it was so swollen. Trust me you don't want to see it. I finally go to the doctor on monday. They tell me i have a sprain or deep bruise. They didn't take any blood work.(HUGE MISTAKE!!) They just give me vicadin and send me on my way. Same thing goes on next two days. No sleep and no eating i couldn't do anything because of the pain. So on wednesday my dad decides i can't miss anymore school. So i go to school. I barely make it to my class (by hopping) and just sleep in there all day. So on Thursday we go to the hospital again. I had a 105 fever and my foot and hand were now the size of a basketball. I get hurt all of the time, really bad and the pain I was in was worse than the pain i could have ever even imagined. The only way i can explain what it looked like ( you can't imagine the pain) was every single little tiny bone in my hand, foot and ankle were broken. They gave me morphine and demorall. This helps for a half and hour then goes away like it was never there. They have no idea what's going on. So they send me to another hospital called St. Mary's. I am there for two more sleepless nights before I even find out whats wrong. Turns out i had an infection in my blood, called Strepp group C in chains. Not Staph or MERSA, but stepp the first thing i said was "what the hell!". Turns out MERSA is not as bad. So i can actually say i wish i had MERSA. MERSA is easier to get rid of and doesn't take long at all. Anyways, I had a pitch black dead silent room for the next four days straight because anything would agitate me and cause undescribeable pain.(pain meds didn't help me at all!) I didn't eat for three more days after that because my mouth was so sore from grinding my teeth together. The main things that kept up my well known positive attitude and out of the depression everyone gets while they're in the hospital was the wakeboarding mag my beautiful girlfriend and most of all my family. I was in the hospital for two weeks. Was on I.V. drugs for twenty one days through a picc line, I'm just getting out of a wheel chair and learning to walk again (i wakeskated before i could walk lol). I'm going through therapy now. And i will hopefully be back on my riding level soon!

I had mersa in my wrist a few months back, in one day it spread all the way up my arm, swollen and red, super bad pain (nothing compared to yours though) sucked bad.
