I was bored over spring break so i drilled holes in my old gator urban rail and put skate trucks on it right in before the rocker starts on both sides. I landed about 6 kickflips on it after like 20 tries to get the feel down as well as a couple big spins. I was just wondering for those of you who can really do them if besides the speed i will be somewhat close to landing these on the water this year...Ive never tried them but since ive been skateboarding so much recently i feel like this might be my summer.

Yeah i wish i had a camcorder...me and my friend were shredding it pretty hard, its way worse on your shins than a skateboard though. I wish i had the footy i thought itd be a funny post for this site if nothing else.

are you flicking them on the skate? on a wakeskate its more of a kick/flick, unless you're ben horan or danny hampson. it should help though, keep at it!

seems like a really good way to learn. did you have to really tighten down your trucks?

I flick it like a skateboard and yes it is hard to get pop, but really fun to mess around on. I tightened my trucks all the way but with the pbt bottom of the gator it was kinda cool to let the sides drag and slide a little. If you can land double kickflips on a regular skateboard you can probably do this too, i want to buy some longboard trucks and big wheels and bomb some hills on it.

I love longboarding.... I'll put some trucks on an old Byerly or Omen and film it.

I've taken my old Gate out on the street and winched up my hill. That was fun. No trucks and wheels on it.

We were bored. But look for the footage of that in my lastest Film "Not What Cha Think"
