Subvert Magazine contest

Morphine, ok what you said is fiznackling bulshit. I dont care how old you are and what u just bought. shizzle i could go buy all that stuff to. I understand that subvert has been having problems ect but thats not the point. The point is they held a contest and they should be able to back it up. I love subverts ideas, plan and mission but they arent really starting off on the right foot if they hold contests for stuff and cant even back it up with what they promise. How would you feel if u entered a contest to win a brand new san and won. You get an email saying what color and whats your adress. You reply back and they say okay well send it right away. 3 weeks later nothing has arrived, you email back and they say oh yeah dont worry you will for sure get it but its gonna take 2 months longer than expected. 3 monthst later, not 2, there still isnt anything at your door. You email them back and they dont respond. It takes weeks to get a hold of them and they say the same shizzle they already told you. YOu know no this was basically a bulljive contest and now you dont have your boat that you won. Well that is exactly what happened to me except it happens to be a pair of shoes not a boat. Sure a boat and shoes are completly different prizes but common you cant possibly tell me that i didnt get fizzle over here. ITs only withing the last week ive lost my patience with it and i have never really said anything bad about subvert until like a few days ago i wont say anymore on this topic because i know that it doesnt agree with my morals but it may with yours so whatever i dont care anymore. If subvert wants to do the right thing they no how to contact me but if they dont well i wont be supporting them at all

Catalyst is right... The money is not the issue at all. It's the run-around they are giving him. As soon as they realized that they wouldn't be able to keep up their end of the deal, they should have apologized and emailed him rather than just kinda dodge the issue.

I am with livewirelp and catalyst on this. First of all great on the two guys to start a wakeskate mag which is what a large number of wakeskaters would like to see and props to them for try to get it up and going when the are busy with school and work. But really it comes down to this Subvert have sort of shot them selves in the foot because alot of wakeskaters look at this site whether they are registered or not and they see this written about the mag. And some give the guy his shoes he won them fair and square and reguardless of the prizes cost , a prize is a prize and he is entitled to it

To me this sounds very odd that they wouldn't give or get the shoes to you. But as electricsnow said earlyer, things fell through, maybe he is right. They forgot or lost the winners information or whatnot and finally they get your information and don't get the shoes because something went done wrong. Also considering it is his last year in college and he is trying to start a magazine he wouldn't just dish out 70 bucks to buy shoes. Also another thing is maybe the ABC/BY.com DVS Dresdens are all gone because they only made 500 pairs, although I doubt it but you never know. But yes they will get bad pubilicty and many people like you won't support them because of one little thing they messed up on. I bet you have heard this before, humans aren't perfect, so you can't really hold a grudge againest them. Then again I guess you could because of them avoiding to send you any information or anything besides, "Oh they will be there in two weeks." But hopefully they will get shoes or at least something to you. It is free so you can't get that pissed off considering you didn't waste your own money, just a thought.

I post under the same name I always have and have not received a PM from you once acording to my last check. Thanks for the support and I apologize for the problem. I have been in school non-stop trying to finish so that I might direct my attention elsewhere (i.e. Subvert). Once you are my age you will realize that juggling school, a job, an apartment, a car payment, starting a magazine with no extra money (I thought we did good for not having any money and getting screwed royally by our hosting company) can be a touch hectic. I will make sure you get them myself as you won the contest. I didn't mean to give you the run around and I do not want to ruin our rep or fall short on our word (my real concern). Too many companies out there blow smoke and bullsh !t to the public, the day I start that, is the day I shouldn't be allowed to be apart of wakeskating or any other sport. Rest asured you will get them and I apologize for the lack of follow through.

Alright, now we got this figured out. Sounds like it just got messed up somehow, but now he is gonna go back and fix it. So I still support Subvert. Yea!

One time when I was 9 my hockey coach was gonna give me a really cool jersey because I was leaving the team and moving up in age divisions and I never got it I asked for it for a whole year and to this day 9 years later I still haven't received it and I cry every night.

Morphine, why would the shoes be obsolete next season?? Just cuz there are new ones?? If these ones still are good, which hopefully they are, then you should be able to use them for a long time.

Plus, if you walked into a skate shop, saw a pair of $70 shoes that you liked and the shop owner said, hey, you can have these for free or pay me 70 bucks for them, which would you pick. And dont give me crap about paying 70 bucks to "support the shop" or something. Anybody would take the free shoes.

It was a deal that subvert had, they should live up to it.

Subvert, wow ok thanks for finaly clearing that up. I never really thought to pm you because i didnt know what your name on here was. I had only ever talked to justin and he never really had anything to say. I was mostly suprised that he couldnt just get you to contact me considering you were obviously in charge of the contest.
