More like Top Bros Tour to me. It sure seems like if your not in bed with one of the "names" in wakeskatin you are facing a nearly impossible ascent to gaining recognition. Not that I'm trying to climb that mountain, just sucks for all those that are. Just my 2cents.

it's all good though! it's all about the fun right? i just want to compete for the fun to see where i'm at in the sport you know? if you have fun riding you're bound to get recognition.

EJazzle, I made the post and I know that is what it's all about and that's why I do it.
I just fell bad for the kids that are pushin the sport forward simply because of their love for it and don't get the love and respect they deserve because they're not in someones back pocket.
Look at La Sewer even. Those guys love skatin as much as anyone and are putting as much or more work into it as anyone, and look what there getting, the shaft from the powers that be because they're a fringe element, not the so called cool guys. Will they ever stop shreddin, doubt it. Could they get discouraged about dedicating their whole life to it, yeah
I'm just sayin stuff like that can leave a bad taste in peoples mouth, and it's not from giving a happy ending so they can get where they want to be, haha.

i feel you on that. for sure.. but what you first said was a little harsh. and i'm going to be trying to work my way up the totem pole here soon. this past saturday i wakeskated for literally 5 hours. two one and a half hour sets and two one hour sets. i wanna be a part of this industry for the rest of my life. wakeskating is my passion. its what i live for

i hate when people take it to seriously and are like i needa "train" to land these tricks in a comp or whatever rabble, rabble, rabble i need to be sponsored and pro blah, blah, blah.

EJazzle, Stoked for you man. Put your head down, work hard, and most of all, have fun. Just remember to grow some thick skin because this, like all action sports, has became a pretty cut throat world unfortunately.

I disagree. Ben horan found his way on that trip...I think what the deal is, is that respect goes a long way...

well vince, the writer's strike is over, so I'm waiting for EVERYTHING to come back. I'm not really sure what the future holds, because it's like they put on some other shows to make compensate for their constant re-runs, so I dont' know if they'd disrupt that schedule or not.

But I look forward to my office tuesdays on TBS.
