Why do you wakeskate?

Wakeskating makes me feel like I am making the impossible possible.

I do it because it is fun is all.
I find my self lost of thought when i am out shreding, its just so good.
Ive met so many rad people and had so many good times, i don't know where id be with out wakeskating.

Wakeskating is love.

Because it's more challenging than Wakeboarding and of course it's hella fun

i love how it is underground...
i love the community...
i love the the multiple styles...
i love the passion put into the sport...
i love the love put into this sport...

and finally everyone loves the feel of a butter sesh at dusk.

when im out on the water, or on the road traveling with my friends...i can let everything else in my life go and just relax and have a good time. Wakeskating also holds a lot of surprises...no sesh is the same, i <3 it more than anything

my wakeskates have kicked me out of my own bed. My closet is filled with the sickest old school wakeboard bags, which are filled with classic wakeboards. I have a tell tale scar on the outside of my lead foot on my ankle, and a tell tale tattoo on the inside of my lead foot just above my ankle.

I've loved the water my whole life. And I feel wakeskating is the most freedom I caqn have on the water. Me and a buddy were talking about this. When I'm out on the lake riding, I can hear the drama on the news. No updates on Britney spears, or have to here about Obama. I dont think about my car payment, or a crappy customer at work. I wakeskate because wakeboarding was un gratifying and really boring behind a ski. Also when I watched wakeboarding on Tv and I saw all those fruity ass spins and flips I said to myself "Ghey"..

And then one day I saw wakeskating, stumbled upon this site, and made my own wakeskate. When I got up on the first wakeskate I made it was way too small (12'' wide) so getting up and staying up was a chore, but regardless it was one of the best feelings ever. The second board I made was flat and shaped a little weird, but bigger, so I got up on this one second try, and after the first slaysh on my friends boats wake (not really a ski boat, wake was pretty small) I knew right there that I would do this for the rest of my life.

But the best of all things is being able to dance, and make a fool of yourself while you make eyes at one of the beautiful girls on the back of the boat, and then getting them up on it later with a little of your help Smash

Wakeskating is my anti-drug.

Even going out on a day and eating shizzle on every attempt trying to land that new trick, it's still better than anything I can think of doing.

After a hard 40hr work week, a 2 hour set mellows me out and brings me back from the stress clouds. Maybe one day I'll be throwing consistent tricks/bangers but if not, I'm content on just being able to go out and shred some hydrogen2oxide.

Wakeskating = a secret form of teh baby jesus. incredible.
