i was riding a wakeboard because the grip on my bi-level fell off, and i was doing a tantrum and my arm went through the handle and tore most of the soft tissue from shoulder to hand, and tore parts of my bicep, i was out for a couple of months, that was in early june of 07 and my arm is still bruised from it.

darn bi-level

I just did something similar surfing. Had to make a quick stop to avoid running over a guy and stuck my hand in the wave while turning real sharp, my arm got wrenched back the wrong way real hard, and I got an immediate screaming pain and tearing feeling in my shoulder and under my collar bone area. I ended up surfing for another hour cause the waves were good. But it's been bothering me ever since, still in pain and discomfort, for about 3 weeks now. Giving me migraines and pains up the neck and back but I've been riding with it, and if I fall to catch myself on a trick, like lay back and push off the water and it does the same thing it hurts like hell. I feel like I won't be able to ride the rest of the day. Everyone i've talked to thinks torn rotator cuff. I should probably stop riding for atleast a week but I'm being stubborn and stupid i guess.
