NotSoBueno, the website is down at the moment from what I know. Two of those frames are the same. John can pretty much whip up anything you want. PM "Released" or myself if you have anymore questions. |

NotSoBueno:
The frame on our website is being cleared out right now, so you can probably get a really good deal by contacting john@releasedwinchco.com. I cannot mention pricing on this forum, but you can PM me.
The red frame is a fully custom Released Pimp Winch frame, and is Bullet Lines factory winch.
Thank you,
Ken Land

DVSKATE, Not everyone has the tools, materials and the know-how to build a frame. If you don't know anyone that can bend/cut/weld for cheap or free, than you are going to be paying an arm and a leg for labor. But just for the fact that you hate on something you know nothing about makes you 10 times more intelligent. |

Im not trying to hurt anyones sales and Im not knocking the quality of the frame it looks very nice but 450 for a frame is highway robbery IMO and I will justify my opinion with this link to a bike frame that is 7005 Aluminium (which Id be amazed if the winch frame is that quality of stock) tig welded with machined drop outs and it has an extruded lower rear which has a ton more labor parts and developmental cost involved in it for substantially less

-LoGiK-, He is calling those frames junk when he knows nothing about them. He is calling them junk because it's not his own. Who is the close-minded one? |

kento911, it's schedule 40 anodized aluminum.. tig welded. if you guys think their winches are highway robbery then go pay 1,500 more for a 700lb grinch. |

TAD, I can read here's a little education for you. . . .
schedule 40 is 6061 T-6 not as nice as the 7005 on that bike frame
clear or satin anodizing is pretty much standard preparation for aluminum
and almost all aluminum is tig welded anymore b/c its a pain to do it any other way and it looks terrible.
as I said before it is very well built and very well designed but I DO think it is a rip off, and that bike frame is still more expensive material, larger diameter tubing, and a more complex design with CNC machined parts on it and it still costs LESS. . . so my opinion stands
and why would I buy a grinch when I build my own winches _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

kento911, Just curious, how much does your winch retail for? I know you make your own winches, I was directing that to everyone in general who is hating on a company that's helping out the sport tremendously. Not only do they sell/build custom completes, you can buy anything you need for a winch separate.
I never said you couldn't read I was just telling you which kind of aluminum was used because it hasn't been stated yet. Also, I am not too familiar with bike frames, but how many of those frames do you think are produced each month from that company? I'm almost positive they buy their materials in bulk and have a few more people pumping out their products. John and Chris do all of this custom work themselves and like I said before, still come out with the lowest prices around.
I'm not trying to be a dick but there is always so much hate on here when more companies come into the game and all everyone does is hate. |
