Well seeing as my crappy engine kinda rusted and what not, i am gonna build a new frame for the ole girl and buy a new engine.
I know what im gonna do with the frame
But i was wondering if anyone could tell me what a good engine (around $300-450ish) would be, please tell me
ATM we are running a 16 tooth drive sproket to a 72 (im pretty sure thats it)
I really really wanna get this built quick so please could someone recommend me a good engine pahlease, i want it to be able to do water starts BTW

Honda 6.5hp or Subaru 7hp

Honda 6.5's are absolutely legendary. Knock-off's are cheaper but suck, so buy the real thing. It will last you for years if you treat it right.

i love my subaru and they are only like 200 bucks for a 7 horse at harbor freight... or thats how much they use to be

Yeah we used to have an old EY20D robin, (only 5 hp) and it worked sooooo nice, pushed out like 4000rpm, but it got rusted so i am gonna rebuild with a splash guard this time for sure :p
