WAKESKATE.

who reckons that EA Sports or some company should make a wakeskating game. how sick would that be. you start of as an unknown wakeskater and work your way up the ranks. you can ride behind a boat, tinny, jetski or winch and you can upgrade to better boats, tinnys, jetskis and winches as you get better. you do photo and video shoots and enter in contests were sponsors discover you and want you to ride on their team. you meet other wakeskaters that you go riding with and get the skills to pay the bills. you can make rails etc. on the weather side of things it wouldnt always be sunny and glassy. like on some days it will rain, others it will be choppy and cold and other days its perfect. it would go through the different seasons as in summer, winter etc.

so what do you all think.
any other suggestions

dalesk8, that would be the most badass thing on the face of the planet (besides wakeskating of course) If it had controls similar to skate. There would have to be some sort of off-the-water time. Like to go places. Maybe a bit of skateboarding or hell even just driving for travel. Having some trampboarding mixed in there would be kinda fun Wink

Slapdown, i was playing skate today and thats were i got the idea. i agree with the off water thing. if you wanted to ride at some lake you would have to hook the boat, tinny or jetski to the car and have to drive to the lake. or if you wanted to go winching at a spot you would have to drive there. trampboarding would be good when off the water. oh yeh, riding at cable parks

i think the only way they would do this is that skate 2, would have a whole side part of the game where you can wakeskate. so like you sktae around town maybe drive to diff places around the country then you have access to lakes cable parks and gaps but also you skate the diff cities

yea i used to rock that shittt
but it got annoying how it loike lags the tricks so i stoped

that would be sick but i honestly doubt it will happen, considering the only real action sport to make it as a video game is skateboarding. I mean take Shaun Murrays Wakeboarding Game for instances it was sick for all of us who do that but, it didnt really reach the masses of people that arent familiar with the sport and thus it did not ultimatly succede

gate-rider, Well wakeboarding is limited to flips and spins. And at the time, was only marketed behind a boat. Not to mention it was made by those who made tony hawk games.

If EA made a wakeskate game similar to skate it would be sick as hell. Obviously that's not going to happen (any time soon at least Twisted Evil

) but it's fun to think of. Wakeskating has more things like winching, more types of riding and overall more possibilities than wakeboarding.

It would be cool to have a giant map. I mean like GIANT. Like Oblivion (for those who have played)-style giant. Where you could find hidden winch spots, nice lakes, indoor pools (with security you'd have to fight off by throwing beers and ice chests at Twisted Evil

), etc. It would also be really nice to be able to travel to places like New Zealand and France once you get pretty high up on the list of prizzo's.

Other ideas i don't want to write paragraphs about:
Downloadable maps, lakes, and obstacle setups.
Fine tune your boards concave, rocker, shape, etc (once becoming pro and having your own model)
Make videos, photos, etc (like the features in skate)
Choose angles+zoom without set positions found in skate.
Multiplayer with options for doubles riding, doubles filming, or rider/driver.
Building rails, kickers, boxes, etc. And choosing the placement.
Uploading custom obstacle setups.
Extra downloadable challenges.

haha that's all i can come up with for now. I think it would be sick as hell though Smash

Wakeboarding doesnt have enough tricks... But we do. Very Happy

what about an online feature where you play by yourself for awhile and then start logging in online and start ranking up and competing against eachother and ratings on who is the best pro eventually.

I think they were talking about running a "Scott Byerly Pro Wakeskater" kinda thing, i remeber hearing about it, but i know it never went through.

grind on the fountain. the po po see you doing that. then you have to drive to escape the cops

and maybe make it so that you have a limited amount of time to drive to spots so that you have to weave in and out of traffic

Having a game and all would be cool, but every time i would play it, id get like 5 seconds in then want to do it in real life ;P
