Who all here has cut most of the kink's off a karma and gripped it? How does it ride. I've heard good things...in a round about way. I wanna hear straight from the source... _________________ 10101 |

right now I have a 42 a.reed(too big) and an old LF 40 concave(too narrow). We have one sitting around the shop, and I have been thinking about it some lately... _________________ 10101 |

its only gonna make the board fall apart faster, theres absolutely no point to doing it other than shedding weight or trying to not let people know youre riding a karma. i rode that skate for a year and a half and its actually one of the better shapes that hype made minus the oversized kicktails. the edges were too sharp for my tastes though, but thats just cause i hit rails a lot. _________________ - Bret Little

Bad Luck, I'm not looking for a long lasting board, those kick tails are too funky for me... _________________ 10101 |

Bad Luck, it feels like a legacy to me. With my foot on the back of the board I feel like I have no control. And when I push down on the back I get and "hollow" feeling when the kink hits...I'm just wondering how they ride without a majority of the tail _________________ 10101 |

ahh, i see your problem. move your backfoot forward, everyone thinks they need to be as far back on the tail of a wakeskate as you do on a skateboard, and thats just simply not true. i'd like to think that i have some "pop" to my riding, and i never have my back foot any closer than a couple inches from the tail.
especially on the karma, you shouldnt have your back foot really up on that kicktail unless you are trying to do a manuel or something. keeping my back foot off the tail off any wakeskate has actually made things easier for me, but its just my opinion so it may not necessarily do the same for you.
but it never hurts to try different things. _________________ - Bret Little

| Bad Luck, i can second that. you needn't even bother stepping on the kicktail. i rode that board for 1,5 years too and the best pop i got from the gate where when i had my backfoot prox 3" from the back. |
