No.

I would say wait for the Devotid if you can. I am guessing you have already ridden a concave in your life before, and a bi-level is something completely different that I hope everyone who wakeskates can try at least once in their life. I have noticed bi's mean a lot more to people who have a skate oriented background. Although both (bi and concave) are ridable, I can't promise you that you will like the bi better, but they are amazing boards (depending upon what kind you get, people can really mess it up). Weight is something you don't really notice in anyways except added control in the air; the board will do the same thing every time, unless you do something different. You always have the chance of it breaking though, the 08 Devotid is one of the strongest out there in my honest opinion.

"You have to wait for the pop" [on a bi level]

malarkey. On a bi-level, the board leaves the water faster than a normal concave or flat deck because of the flex. I'm one of those people who loves a bi-level, but it's a personal thing...right now I just don't want to ride anything else.

Summertime, where are you??

"Get ready to break-the-ice!!!"

Summertime can break the ice inside of me....

Ya, I have an SST and a Zariel as well. So far I love the Cassette the most. The Zariel's rail is a tad sharp but after I file it down I think I will like it more and more. Nothing wrong with it at all. The concave feels real good to me. The SST rips as well. The variable edge, and asymetrical shape are very similiar to Cassette. The width of the SST is by far the largest and my shuvs are the most consistant on it. The only thing I dislike about the SST is being so close to the bottom deck. I like how the edges of the Cassette and Ronix are separated and off the bottom deck. All 3 are amazing and it just comes down to a durability and personal choice. I think Scott A and myself are trying to get a shootout bi-level test in the next month. I am just crazy busy with work trying to get ready for a huige boat show so my time is greatly limited. Good luck with your choice.

In my experience and observation, all of the above can be regarded as completely incorrect.
