deepcove, was that at Seymour by any chance?
On this snowboard vid called "Flavour Country" one of the bonus features is like an old news clip from the 80s i think and its people at Seymour complaining about how dangerous snowboarders are ahah. And they were like, we are never gonna allow snowboarders. It's funny how times change.

Yea it was seymour, we had to wait till the end of the season and hike up to the top of mystery peak chair and then onto the 3 peaks beyond that. we would usually build a kicker and have a day of hiking / riding. I actually have a picture from I think 1989 on the second peak.....mullet and all!! Laughing

been ridin a palmer clasic 156 for quite some time now with 4 year old burton customs

been on the prowl for a dope park board as well and ran into the 07 rome anthem(469.00) 07 roam artifact ( 349.99) and the 07 burton twin ( 449.99) while i was deciding i ran into a place called sierrasnowboard.com and found the 05/06 burton twin which is the same exact stick as the new one minus the triax ( 3 layers) of fiberglass but it still has the Biax for 234.99 Crazy Eyes

so if anyone is lookin for a good park board and cant break their bank(or trying to save some loot for the new skate next season) check them out ( not sure if they have any more but they're other good deals on the 05/06 lineup as well!!!

Deepcove, that is sooo cool. Is he any good? What's it like teaching a 4-year-old how to snowboard? Must be hard...

Ozwest, Very Happy I never rode in those. But I did ride one of those narrow carving boards with skiing boots. No, not the hard snowboarding boots that go with that kind of board, but REAL skiing boots. Need I say it wasn't the best experience?

My set up:

98 Burton Custom 152 (Haha! But it's still the best board I've ever ridden)
04 Salomon Silk boots
07 Salomon Relay Elite bindings

My board is 9 years older than my bindings! Rolling Eyes

I've got an older ( at least 5 yrs.) Burton Se7en with some same yearBurton bindings as well. As for boots, they are some cheap ass Big-5 brand.

I'm looking to upgrade to some new boots/bindings this year and was wondering if someone could recomend a good setup. I've got a size 13 shoe and I'm a little better than a beginner. I mean I don't totally suck but I'm not Johnny Tsunami either.

Any sugestions? Also I'm kind limited to like $225 - $240 tops.

it's actually quite easy if you have some one who wants to learn. The tough part is getting them back up the mountain. Here is his riding from last weekend. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=DbJ84ATbnDA

my friend in park city utah has one. He says it's the best board he has ever ridden. You have to get a special edge tool though. But he said it is great for pipe, park, and the powder.

I got a burton limited edition 1 of 400 (before it got stickers and i took the stomp pad off)
freestyle bindings
forum boa boots
