What size hp do you need for a winch?

and how do you adjust the speed of it the motor?

no less than 6.5hp.....

so 6.5 will be fine or is a higher hp engine good enough...and how do you adjust the speed to make it go faster or slower is there a throddle or something that you need to put with the engine
