SnoSk8er10, crazy ray, shawkboard is not all its cracked up to be... they sent me one for free to demo... i was not impressed.... it should have been marketed to the wakeboard community so teh strappers could try it.....
but as far as wakeskating goes, shawkboarding is like taking an "evolutionary step backwards". meaning we evolved from wakeboarding, by taking the bindings off and waxing or gripping our boards and wearing shoes, then building smaller skates, then bi-levels, and wood vs. composite.... etc... but the "shawk binding system" is taking us back to our dark age days of being attached to the board.
but as far as an honest opinion of the shawkboard and their equipment, here ya go:
1. Shawk shoes -- comfortable.
2. LF Armada -- IMO it sucks, it has all those "molded fins" feels like riding a small wakeboard, not a skate.
3. "Binding system" -- works well for it's purpose, provides strong grip between you and the board, doesn't allow for as much foot movement during the ride as wakeskaters prefer. doesn't tear skin and hair off legs like griptape does.
MY PERSONAL PRODUCT REVIEW:
shoes -- good
board -- poor
binding system -- works as advertised.
"marketed to the WRONG crowd".... wakeboarders would love it.... skaters won't, well....real skaters won't. _________________

I'm not gonna hate on a company for trying something new...BUT. Having yur feet attached to a wakeskate is pointless. If I wanted to be attache I would wakeboard... _________________ 10101 |

shawkboarding is like cheating at wakeskating combined with crappy wakeboarding, it seriously makes no sense to me. i'm trying to think of a good analogy but can't really come up with anything, who's got one? _________________

Mr. Top Hat, It makes sense, but the only problem with it is, guitar hero is actually fun to play... _________________ 10101 |

| If you want to keep something on the boat for girls/beginners/etc. Support our sport and buy a foam top board with fins on it. If that doesn't work, buy a wakeboard. Shawkboarding is just an embarrassment to watersports and should never have the word wakeskate in the same sentence or paragraph. Keep the Armada, toss the Shawkgear. |

Send it to me, I'll ride it.
I never bought into the whole "wakeboarders vs wakeskaters" deal.
Childishness.
I wakeboard just as much as I wakeskate. |

Im not versing them at all. Im versing Human Intelligence vs Shawkboarding and how it should be wiped off the face of our planet.
Shawkboarding is to Wakeskating&Wakeboarding as BASEketball is to Baseball&Basketball.
Good movie, though. |

urinal mint, I feel the same way, I skate more than board but I still think its fun to switch things up. It might be fun to screw around on the shawk, but I know for a fact that it will be buried under everything else in my boat before I know it. _________________ liberation |
