I got an e-mail a few days ago saying that I won the contest for November for a board and full binding system, with a pair of skate shoes... Has anyone ridden one of these things? I'm really interested to see how the binding system works and how it holds and such.

I think it will be a bit weird at first to be attached to my skate instead of my wakeboard... We'll have to see how it works out, I'll post a review after I try the thing out.

i'm sorry SnoSk8er10, but shawkboarding is like the ogre child of wakeskating...... try it out, i hope you like it. but if you do like it don't brag about it on here

shawkboards are like fat chicks, they may be fun to ride, but you don't want to brag about them to your bros

It is a LF Armada with a velcro top. You can put a grip tape, or foam, or double velcro over the piece directly on the board.

The shoes even have a removeable bottom so you can ride them on the grip/foam or put the velcro attachment on the shoes and stick to the board.

While accomplished wakeskaters may scoff at it, it is actually a good setup to have on the boat for beginners/wives/girlfriends/kids etc.

Jalapeno, I was asking if anyone has ridden one and how the binding system works, not your opinion of how dumb or pointless they are Wink

brassmonkey, Why would you say this is a fake post?

NotSoBueno, I feel the same way, a lot of my friends want to try wakeskating but can't get the hang of having the board underneath them without slipping out, should be a nice learning tool for buddies.

I have never used a shawk board but once I rode a very small wakeboard with very comfortable bindings.

It was ok.
