I like the clothes but if you are on the site as one of their "team" members you should get free shizzle I think. _________________ http://www.wakeskateclips.com/ |

This is why the booty shorts stand out so much on him. _________________ The above are opinions of NotSoBueno, based on NotSoBueno's life experiences and are not reflective of the opinions of wakeskating.com, posters on wakeskating.com, or readers of threads on wakeskating.com. |

kornhouse, thanks for the shout out.
BenBuser, we are still around... barely, but once I manage to have some free time we should have a revamp of the product line and a new home page to replace the non-existent blog entries.
thefunky31, I wish it was that easy. We have been around since '03 and launched the new site over a year and a half ago, and unfortunately sales have been almost non-existent. My goal with Fluid was to give most of the money (-expenses for hosting the site and the domain) to riders whether it be free shizzle or something else they need. However, the industry is not doing very well right now. Now that companies like O'Neill, No Fear, etc. are starting to reach out to wakeskating, company's like ours (remember Revolution Concepts?) are getting pushed out. In fact, since I relaunched the site around June '06 we have made a whopping $193.90 profit. Now, with hosting, a domain, and a webstore, plus the fact that I need a little cash to keep the energy drinks handy since this is in fact a one man operation (web design, product design, marketing, all done by me in my free time), what little money is left has gone to buying stuff for my team. Keep in mind this was all occurring while I was working almost full time at bulljive job for minimum wage, going to school fulltime (now in Chicago where out of state tuition means I have even more to worry about when it comes to money) so there hasn't been a lot of time to focus on Fluid.
tahoe, it is a team, and I would have to say that it is one of the best teams in the industry, especially when it comes to loyalty. Grant has been here almost since the beginning and I wouldn't still be doing this if it weren't for him. Frye has been around for a while, and I was proud to be able to actually make him an official member, and he was excited as well. For them to still remain and believe in Fluid means more to me than how much business they bring, which, nowadays is the point of most teams. It's easy to look from the rider's point of view, and not see that having a team is an investment. If they are good enough to appear in contests, then having them wear your stuff will bring you business. So in that respect our team isn't what you generally would think of as a team, it's a family, they are as mush apart of the business as I am and they know that I am giving them what I can.
