the only way that i can even come close to landing kickflips (landing on the board but slipping out) is when i put my feet in the ollie position cept with my front foot on a bit of an angle. In this position a can pre-pop my ollie to get enough height then at the peak flick downwards.
now i find that the pre-pop is essential to get enough height for a kickflip (in the flats this is), so how is that many people do there kickflips by having there foot close to the centre of the board hanging off the heelside edge?? ive tried pre-poppin with my foot like this and it just leads to crappyness. how do people get enough height like this to do a kicky? |

simple man... just pre-pop with your foot hanging off the edge... it might seem hard at first but you get used to it. then bam.. easyness. the secret is just going really fast... so edge hard kinda in a manual so you get alot of speed and your heel doesnt catch.. then just pre-pop like normal with your feet in kicky position.
i would ask blake steele, (primeO) on this site. he has the highest kickflips in the sport right now, i just dont understand how he catches them 3 foot above the water.. TOESIDE.. |

| ok ive encountered another problem, whenever i pop with my front foot in the position lemons described, it always ends up not staying on the board and raises too high. That means i have to try and kick the edge rather than flick it on an outwards\downwards angle. any suggestions? |
