One last question, do you guys use fins? In most of the videos it seems like you guys are turning it on the water effortlessly and I'm wondering whether I should use em or not.

dude....just ride with them and then ride w/out them. see what you like, it's your choice: some people ride better with them and some better without. _________________ R.I.P. JT- we all know you're slayshin up above, smack the lip off a cloud for us!

take your back or front fin out and leave the back and just switch it around when you fall and try each. You will see what you like better.

I go back and forth, although I've decided to ride with my fins (1in.) for a little while. The board isn't quite as loose, but with small fins I think you can snap it around just as well on shuvits and whatnot, and it just makes landings more solid, especially on wake to wake stuff. If gives you a little more margin for error.

Does anyone know what the advantage is to riding with one fin. I think it's Hampson who rides with only the back fin and i was just wondering how that is compared to both fins or finless.

it's whaterver you like. I cut some fins down so they don't get in the way on rails, but still have control for w2w.

i personally ride finless, i just like it better. i really like the looseness and all around freedom that you don't have on a skateboard. sometimes you think maybe i would of gotten that with fins but then you get it or you try it with fins and it holds you back. it's all personal preference. hey morphine wheres that lake you told me about? do you live close or somethin? _________________ showtdit rider |

I tried riding finless for the first time at a cable park, and it's a totally different feel. It's all personal preference. How do you guys shave down your fins though? _________________ Bonzo goes to Bitburg and goes out for a cup of tea. |

I ride with one fin. For me, it gives me a little extra tracking when I want it, but I can have that loose feeling when I have the finless end in the back. It is kind of like having the best of both worlds, but you still have a lot looser feeling ride overall.

Yeah, I just got in from riding today and tried one fin. It's wierd because after you do a shuvit or whatever it's almost like you're riding a different board.

i just cut my fins down so that on the water it feels finless for tricks on the lips and out in the flats, but whne i edge in a i can still have that fin to help cut and land. so just cut fins way down. its the way to go.

If you mean close to the lake, yeah I'm 5 mins away from it. Close to you, not so much, about 2 and a half hours if you're near chattanooga I'm guessing. I'll be out 8 hours a day all week if you decide to come out though. It's supposed to be pretty smooth. It's West Point Lake, near Lagrange, GA. In case you drive down.
