Updated

What is going on in the A$$ end. Bigger platform. I think its fillable for weight. There are drain plugs on the gray platforms rear.

Footholes?

I think the seadoo website releases all the 08 info on it tomorrow.

..coulda spent the money on other new features IMO. weight was the last thing everyone complained about with the sea-doo wakes. hopefully thats not the only advancement for the 08's.

mr robotto,
forcing the hull deeper in the water creates a bigger wake. Add weight in the front and back.
But you right doesnt look that much bigger

annapoliswskate, on such a small hull the difference is going to be fairly negligible. (Not enough freeboard on a ski to add significant amounts of weight.) SeaDoo would be better off adding some tracking skegs to the bottom of the hull IMO.

wow. that is ummm. I love my yamaha vx wake. i was once in search of creating a bigger wake but you just got to be happy your getting pulled. my ski puts up a pretty fun ripple to work on lip tricks and I/O stuff. My ski's I/0 is alot rampier then the seadoos anyone else feel the same way with the yamahas.

The rear platform on the yamaha vx is huge also

i had a yamaha xlt1200 and it threw a pretty decent wake. But i think with my 220lb friend on the back it threw a better wake then when my other buddy who was 160lbs sat on the back. I have always wondered if he ever figured out why we always made his ass sit on the back of the ski.

heres the info on the ballast system

NEW SEA-DOO BALLAST SYSTEM: BRP takes the only watercraft specifically designed for tow sports and boosts the wake amplitude for 2008. The industry's first ballast system allows the rider to add up to 200 lbs / 90 kg of additional weight to the rear swim platform for greater "pop" when launching off the wake, providing more jump height, easier wake-to-wake jumping, and more advanced manoeuvres. The easy-fill and removable ballast system also features a large non-skid surface, footrests for the rear-facing spotter, and is integrated with the standard board rack to easily carry a board to and from the ride site.

from the same site

BRP has led in wake sport technology since 1992 and is the only company to offer models specifically designed for wake sports. As the official watercraft of the Pro Wakeboard Tour, the newly coloured 2008 Sea-Doo WAKE 215 and Wake 155 offer an exclusive new ballast system and electric VTSTM (Variable Trim System), that combine with other exclusive wakeboarding features such as the high rise ski pylon and board rack, to create the ultimate wake experience.

That's sweet. W2W's on a jet ski are fun as it gets. You actually have to ollie and use technique.

Cheer up boys, don't hate on a company that's trying to advance our sport. Keep things in perspective, and before you try to be a badarse naysayer-know-it-all remember why you wakeskate!
