How doya do guys? I know, this is my second time of returning after like a forever absense. But i'm never on the computer anymore! Life is almost to short ya know? I got my lady, my job, friends, college preparation, and of course wakeskatin and mountain boardin to do. As for the whole titanium lung thing, I switched it up to carbon fiber for lighter weight which equals higher ollies Twisted Evil.

Ok, now for the question...

I am going on a long canoe trip in a few weeks with some hardcore hiking and stuff like that. I am guessing my hikin shoes will be getting very wet and since I always complain about my crappy shoes that I currently use for wakeskatin I figure I will kill two birds with one stone Cool. But I have never wore true wakeskate shoes before. I will be wearing them for 5 days strait on the camping trip and I'm hopin they will be a good way to keep my feet dry with all the transferin from water to dry land but I am worried that maby they will chaif, will i need to wear socks if I am walkin long distances in them or do their liners kind of take care of that???? Do you guys think these are a good idea to use for easy hiking?? Thanks for the input guys.

They won't have the support like a hiking boot, but they will be good for going through water and then back to land. It all depends on the type of hiking your doing, if there is alot of elevation gain, you might want to think about support. If there isn't much elevation gain and mostly flat land i would go with the wakeskating shoes. As for wearing socks with wakeskating shoes, personally i don't think they are needed but you might find with all the walking, blisters might develop, so take some socks. Better to have them and not need them, then need them and not have them.

wakeskate shoes wont keep your feet dry. the main differance between wakeskate shoes and regular skate shoes is that they drain water better. i wake skate in skate shoes not wakeskate shoes. i think you will be better of in hiking boots.

My bad, I know wakeskate shoes won't keep my feet dry but they will drain all of the excess water so I won't have to be walking around all day in sloshy shoes. How bout this question: how fast do wakeskate shoes take to dry on average after being out of the water?

NoPidy, I'd suggest you get some adidas "hellbenders" or "malis" they are shoes specially developed for such application...
they do work for wakeskating too...

You might want to consider getting a pair of wakeskate shoes and a pair of hiking boots. Especially if you want to do serious hiking there is no way past a good pair of boots. I wore these in the army and they really take a beating. http://www.magnumboots.com

They dry pretty quick too and stay light when wet.
