So, I was exchanging a few PM's with Beaver.

With his permission I asked if I could post this (since it came from a PM). He off course said yes.

Beaver said=
yeah for sure, i love seeing the stoke on other peoples face, it just gets me that much more stoked. Ive got a few more buddys this year that are into it versus me and one other last year. Now i have one who's down to ride everyday and doesn't mind paying for gas.

I saw some kids standing up on a knee board almost everytime i went out. So one time i brought a old wakeskate i had kicking around and gave it to the kid and told him to ride it. I told him when he buys his own just to pass the skate on to someone else to learn. He found out my address some how and sent me a card and$50 thanking me. Hes one of my new riding buddies now. Just last night i saw someone learning how to wakeskate with the wakeskate that i first gave to one kid now its on to the next.
Its all about fun.

I've actually experienced that same kind of situation. My first surfboard I ever baught was a 6'0 natural art and after a few years of riding it I sold it to IWS in south florida and a few years after that I saw a kid out in the water riding it, he was alot better than me when I was his age ><. I asked him how he liked the board (i think he got scared when i asked em and probably thought i was going to steal it or something) and then i told em it used to be my board. Was prety funny seeing an old board of mine like that still being used. Still waiting for that money in the mail and thank you card though. Wink

Spreading the stoke, Da Kine. Cool Also standing on a Kneeboard is way cooler than standing on board that has Velcro on it.

t-Rex, I heard it was a Bob Archer special molded foam top deck too!

Who would give something like that away?

Thats killer that you would give a skate and then it be passed along. There is limited knowledge of skating and any new riders we can turn on will help grow this sport. If your ever around Alexandria ,La give me a holla we can ride.

che blanc, Its such a cool feeling, to be honest i doubted that decision for a few days after thinking that he could run away with it and that one day i might need that skate. But now i have no regrets. Everyone should do something like that. It feels so good.

i love this stuff!

when i was in florida last month i gave the skate that i won toe jam on, the first byerly skate that i got, to a kid from france that was staying at The Wakeboard Camp because he really liked it and they couldnt get them in france still. honestly, that skate meant a lot to me, but giving it to him and seeing how stoked he was was worth so much more than that. i love doing anything i can to spread the stoke.

One time I took a kid's wakeskate and watched him cry.

Now I try to recreate that feeling in people around me all the time.
