today when i was in the water i noticed my vest was smelling alittle ripe, i dont know if it was just me or what, but it was a more than a little stinky, any one got any suggestions? can you soap that bad boy up.



Also on a completly different subject, how many threads from 2003 has xjazzy jx brought back from the dead, i count 3 so far

ImSoWakested, my vest used to have a stank to it.. i washed it with car wash soap while i was spraying down my boat.. and then i started rinsing it with fresh water after every use.. now it smells like a vest again.

PS. the jazzmeister does what he wants.

car wash soap eh? and it hasnt had any ill effects on the vest? what do you think about shampoo or like body was gel?

ImSoWakested, haha i havent tried anything else.. my shoes and vest were sitting in the driveway when i was cleaning my old boat so i was like...."a little soap never hurt anything" and i just threw some soap on them... and drenched them with the hose..

My vest has been dubbed "The Pooru", and I found that Ivory Dish soap works wonders as well. Never tried Maguiars though.
