just wondering if there are any performance differences in the two setups since the sprockets are larger in diameter for the #41?

i have found little performance differences... the 41 is suppose to be for industrial use so it is stronger but i have never had a 35 pitch chain break so strength isnt really a problem...

i always recomend the 35 only because gocarts use the 35 so it is much easier to find parts such as sprockets and clutches because you can just go to your local gocart shop and a shop online... 41 tends to be more elusive

both work very well though

Agreed about the convenience. However, I often wish I had got a #41 because it a much meatier chain... I pull alot of fat-asses.

I switched, I pull fat people aswell. I actually went with #40. Same pitch as #41 just beefier links. #35 is for bicycles.

De Oro, Is it the same chain as your last pulldozer? If it is, then you meant to say...

Taken from Gokartsupply.com...
"An 11 or 12 tooth clutch sprocket usually indicates the use of #35 chain.
10 tooth clutch sprockets usually indicates the use of #41,#40, or #420 chain."

A 12 tooth TAV2 is for #35. A 10 tooth TAV2 is for #41/#40.
Im running a 10/50sumthing. But the diameter of the sprockets now are almost the same as the ones I replaced. So I pretty much have the same gear ratio as my old 12/72 #35.
