every time I tried to do an ollie today, my first day out, my feet were sooooo hard to position. I would try and move my front foot back and my back foot to the tail, but the board went out of control. I am using some dvs dresdens that are brand new.

provin1327, How far are you moving your front foot back? If you don't have at least some weight on the front of the board, you will most definitely have trouble with board control. Just move your feet like you would on a skateboard, but have a much wider stance. Remember, for ollies you do not slide your foot, so there is really no reason to have your front foot too far back.

I'm new too. I try to start with my feet in place to ollie since that is what I've been practicing the most. Try taking off with your back foot all the way back and your front foot just a little behind the tip.
Once I'm up I have a hard time moving my back foot around and my front foot is nearly impossible. Gotta learn the trick to that next. Smash

Calskater23, nope

Slapdown, yea I tried to, but my shoes had so much grip, my front foot wasn't really being moved, its just that I wanted my back on my tail more. Btw, amazingly, my size 14 feet didn't hang off.
