i ride vinyl too, and the slipping out may have to do with riding finless i can w2w without fins but its harder to keep the edging, recently i just started doing some toeside w2w and the main goal is to have a progressive edge all the way through and u dont nescarily need to snap a ollie becuase if u have a good progressive edge then you will go straight up the wake and suck ur knees up, its not that hard just takes some practice and dont cut at the wake too hard or flatten off right at the end honestly progressive edge the whole way and u will get popped and just float and stomp it, then throw some grabs for steeze and ride away

I ride the vinyl as well. I ride one fin so when I do wake to wake I put it at the back. without a fin on the vinyl is hard because it sits so high on the water its difficult to get a good edge without slipping out.

also next time you go out do a few mellow one wake jumps. after that do the exact same thing but cut out further and edge in harder. dont pop any different. if you do this you should make it w2w. what happens when you try to hard to pop is that you dont wait for the natural pop that the wake gives you.

also how fast are you going? how long is your line? and what boat do you ride behind?

It sounds to me like you need to dig in on your heelside edge a lil more. Try and let the wake pop the board up and out in front of you more. Suck your legs up to absorb the pop and stay behind that a$$. Also make sure when you hit the wake you are letting go with your back hand, and use it to help stabilize you in flight and upon arrival.

jake heney, around 20 mph i'd guess, probably 60 or 65, behind a flats boat, 16.5 silverking with 90 4 stroke yamaha.

i tried again today and i only slipped out once, i think i was flattening off before i hit the wake before, i just held my edge all the way through and it helped with everything, ill try everything thats been said, hoping to get it tomorrow.
thanks guys.
