Yes you can swap your board in for a new one.. they had a recall on one of the first batches. Its not the griptape thats the problem, its the paint under it.. if the paint isn't sticking to the wood, the griptape isnt sticking to it either, haha. You can pop the bubbles all you want on the byerly's but the paint is just stuck on the bottom of the grip. Either send it in and get a new one or remove the grip, strip the paint on the top deck and regrip.

Just got my new skate today. They gave me a choice of another byerly or the BT vinyl. I chose the Vinyl because I knew I would have the same problems again if I went with the byerly. So far I love the Vinyl. I rode it for about 45 minutes today and landed my second varial flip on it, so so far im not complaining. Very Happy

T-slice, i agree with u, i rode both the byerly and the vinyl and i would say the vinyl is the board for me at least, i didnt mind the byerly i just found it was uncomfortable to stand on however you like at guys like george daniels and people doing double kickys on it soo there must be something right about the board, i just liked the way the vinyl felt more

Yeah I like it better too. One warranty guy that I talked to at hyperlite said that they are the same board, except the byyerly has steeper kick tails. All the other differences are cosmetic
