I actually rode a bilevel for the first time yesterday w/ labellethrasher and skatefilly. Those boards are sick, I always heard about the buzz about the way they rode...but didnt really understand until i rode it. Now, if cassette began producing them again, I would definatly be a customer.

a fuzzy 5 years ago or so a board caught my eye at the wake shop and the bottom was gray with a peculiar projector drawing on the bottom.........it had no bindings....and grip tape

Shocked i was like Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked i need that Shocked

it was the edge which was cut which makes them so special.....a growth of watersports spawned things like kneeboarding, tubing and wakeboarding

then a few guys like Jason Messier, Scott Byerly, and Thomas started riding wakeboards without bindings

here it was this huge new boomin sport, wakeboarding representing power, strength, and size........only to be beaten to the finish line by wakeskating whose grace and freedom will over shadow her sister.

thomas was one who put things together, he leads the movement with the first wakeskate, the first asymmetrical design, did he have the first concave?, the first bi-level design....his ideas with the 4-trak...first design we're years ahead of others conception, straight up visionary.

to ride a cassette or to just witness one is an awesome spectacle. the design is just breath taking. the riders who have come up and under the house like Timmy K and Drew McGuckin...not to mention the nucleus tommy, danny and aaron show of their skills in a way that make me hasty to get back out there, they make it look fun.

the artwork is so tight,,,,Mack has got a steady realxed style about his drawing of old film material it just makes me feel nice

labelle, i like the language you're speaking

esnow, I expected more outta you

what the frick is that supposed to mean! Laughing

seriously though, jason messer used to hand shape his own concaves. I guess it's worthy to mention that he had a wakeskate that shops could order, but the price tag was pretty much out of the question for anyone. one shop in iowa wanted ONE board and that was it. Cassette and hyperlite released concaves the same year, but cassette always milled their boards out and didn't build anything up with foam.

[quote="labellethrasher"]electricsnow I thought you didn't have much time?

haha, you still managed a good sized page on your statement even though you we're in a hurry. that is absolute dedication. a kind of written confirmation, if you will that seperates good companies from the great. Wink

First board I ever rode on and bought was a Cassette. Theres is always at least one Cassette on the boat. Sometimes two or three depending.

EVERYTHING everybody rides on has some Cassette in it one way or another. Just look it all the wannabe's (except omen and integ IMO) out there now trying to look and feel like the boards from the 03-04 Cassette line up.

Other then that I read that Thomas works down in Miami at some nice as night club and makes pretty damn good money, rides everyday and im sure he still has a ton of boards left over from all the products he had made.

I doubt he has a ton of boards, but when they are available boardstop buys them up.

You said it. I learned how to skate on an '04 Aaron Reed pro model. I think it was the same graphic as labellethrasher's avatar! I miss you hurricane Charley. Crying or Very sad Come and flood UIDZERO's back yard; so I can feel like a kid again.

UIDZERO, post sum videos of us learning how to skate in your backyard. Wink
