actually, they kind of did. 04 was the last year they made boards with the 4-trac fin configuration (though the shape of the concave changed as well and was nothing like the 4-trac from 03) and the 05 concaves were also different than 03 and did not accomodate a set back fin configuration.

electricsnow, i didnt know the 03s had a back fin configuration. i thought it was just the two fins at the nose.

Although it would be awesome if they did remake the 03 4 Trac like everyone would like, Thomas is not the kind of person that would start making that board again even if it meant the company. That board is a legend, and he wants to keep it that way. In closing, if I do ever find the person that stole my last 4 Trac.....

03 had two set back fins on the nose, 04 allowed for a set back configuration on the nose and the tail (but the concave was re-designed), 05 just had the standard fin set up (one nose, one tail) and a concave that was similar to 04.

Powerful...hmm...I know of someone else who had their green 4-trac stolen as well.

electricsnow, i was confused by the term "set back fin." when you said the 03s had a set back fin configuration i understood it as fins set in the back. failure on my part.

i would buy a cassette concave in a heart beat I still have an old thomas horrell one that has held up through the years. Im not a big fan of bi levels.
