concussion

I just got back from the hospital i fell wakeskating doing a backside 180 caught an age and slammed the back of my head fri afternoon and my head usually always falls when i hit it so i just kept going but then all weekend it was still hurting and didnt get any better as i figured it would so i went to the hospital and got a catscan and have a severe concussion, i had to explain 10 people what wakeskating was not one knew

ya same happened to me last year. i was screwing around getting pulled at around 30mph and got to cocky for my own good and tried to do a surface 360 and busted my ass.

that sucks bro... i got a severe concussion one time. i flipped a wheelie on my GSXR-1000 flipped across the pavement at 40 mph and smashed my head bad enough to crack my helmet..... HURT MY HEAD SOOOO BAD. Smash

ive had like 4 concussions all from motocross, hense why i quit and now board, but yea man they really suck. ive gotten them so bad that i didnt know my name and i was seeing double. just take it easy and it may not seem like it but your balance is probably going to suck for a while. so take it easy for your first few rides. i remember when i was trying to skateboard i couldnt barely go straight my head was still messed up like a week later.

VinceWhiteman, PIRATE, Skate252, hyfliteskate, JeffKnox, conwest, liquidstunts, -=AlexXx=-, brianl289, Thanks for all the good wishes guys, it hurt me more when the doctor said i couldn't skate for two weeks then when i fell, I didn't hit my head on my board or anything and ive fallen that hard a million times before i geuss it was just the way that i hit the water, concussions hurt like a beach and they seem to never go away i'm taking mass pills for it though which is sorta helping, i just hope when i do get back to skating it doesn't mess me up mentally and physically

for me when i got back into riding i was always worrying myself that because i had gotten a concussion i would suck, and i wouldnt know how to do anything anymore. my advice is go out there with no expectations. just ride, get the feel for everything and when your compeltely ready start shredding like you normally would. it will take time to back to normal, ive heard it takes some up to a couple months. but even when i got like the worst concussion you can possibly get i didnt feel like that. just do some research on the topic so when the time comes your ready. good luck.
