I was fishing yesterday and noticed that my fishing boat put out better wake than my friends Moomba Outback. Does anybody know why that happens?

not really sure about the wake of the moomba but there is a chance it has a hull designed for skiing in mind meaning that it makes the smallest wake possible. If that is the case and there is no weight in it either your fishing boat could kick a way better wake.

xboard32x, No the wake was smooth and sharp ... im going out to skate on it tommorow so ill let you no how it goes.

Phibius, He says his doesn't have a ballast or anything but it still puts out so good wake, not as good for skiing as wakeboarding.

my buddies moomba puts off a somewhat small wake too. so it could be a moomba thing. however we rarely have a lot of weight in it, which doesnt exactly help anything.

like phibius said, it could be the hull. personally i think my buddies('01 outback) is more designed for skiing. but with a few adjustments it could be a lot better.
