i had the speakers that came with the receiver on first. they were big and horrible sounding. they got wet on and off and held their own for 2 weeks. i've sealed the holes on the back of the sony's and mounted them higher.

they won't get wet unless the driver acts like a fool and nosedives a roller.

urinal mint sick! so you know...SeaDoo makes attachments for the side of your jetski that would cover those speakers. They attach and "shell" from your knees down. I'll try to find a link of a picture for you. I think they would keep those speakers dry!

The other idea we had here was just to use an Ipod and battery powered speakers all thrown into a backpack that the driver or spotter wears and bumps!

no it won't get wet unless the driver is careless. it normally went in little compartment but i put velcro there.

We have an Ipod portable stereo system, it has a bike handle mount so we put it onto the left handle of the jetski and the ipod is enclosed inside a hard body case and the speakers are on the outside. It is loud enough for the driver to hear it while driving and when idled both driver and rider can hear.

what's so 'ghetto' about it? besides the receiver in the front compartment. i hid the wires as best as i could by the speakers. i'm not going to even think about drilling into the haul.

urinal mint, i could see a rider getting out of the water to drive for the next person and dripping water on the ipod. im not a careless driver on my jetski but i know for a fact those speakers would not last a week on my ski, they are just too exposed.

there is velcro on the top if i want to place the ipod there. it usually goes in the little storage box thingy.
