Last time i rode i came kinda close, 2 feet on it wrapped and then kinda bounced off it. i did this several times and then headed in for the day.
what are some tips for landin this?
i know i need to try to spread my feet and drop my butt, but are there any other tips? _________________ News Reporter: "What would you say to all the other kids looking to throw a party while their parents were away?"

| Is it good to drop your butt? I know you need to absorb when you land but in my eyes dropping your butt and dragging it on the water takes away from style |

Slapdown gross
I need help on these as well. I tried them for the first time today, out in the flats. I came around and then off the board on one and rocketed my eyeballs to the back of their sockets. Question, when the board has come around and it's time to put your feet on it, are your eyes on your toes or should I be looking past them and more in front of my lead foot? |

labellethrasher, you should be looking at the board til u land it, then focus on riding away and passing the handle or whatever _________________ "it feels good being on the caboose of the progression train"

Slapdown yeah, I've tried a couple re entre as well with about the same level of success. Yesterday was my first time in the flats. Do you have them in the flats and are now trying them re entre or is re entre how you are trying to learn them first?
Wakeness450 when do you actually put your feet onto the board when you are looking at it? like at two seventy or more like a shuv/catch/bs180? and are you waiting to pass the handle until after you've secured the landing and are looking up? |

labellethrasher, Re entry is how i'm trying them first. I think learning things re entry makes it easier to take to the flats, i/o, etc.. _________________ - Evan Molina |

| labellethrasher, back bigs are a really unique trick. everyone does them different. u can do the shuv, late bs 180 or u can do the 3 shuv bs 180 bv or do a mix of both and catch it 270 and then finish the the rest. then theres the option of landing blind or passing. i'd say figure out which combo u like best and go from there. for landing i found looking at my feet and bending at the waist to get my weight over my toes helped me not slip out. |

JamesBoardr you got backbigs you sly devil
canalskater thanks for the input. the whole bending at the waist tip might help me. I seem to be up straight as I come around and that's why I'm getting floored and flung as I come around after getting my feet on the deck. |

i feel like im usually in front of the board like i have my feet on it but im not over the board...i dont really know how to explain it but i dont have my weight overe it so i kinda get "Tripped" by it and fly forward leaving the board behind _________________ News Reporter: "What would you say to all the other kids looking to throw a party while their parents were away?"

| i have landed a few bs bigs but i fersure dont have um on lock down most of the time i land on my heels and fall on my back. i think sometimes i try to land and pass the handle real quick before i get my footing back. is it easier to pass earlier or after you have landed. |
