I love how it's just a black background behind the rider. Looks like the last two could have used a bit more time under the enlarger, though. Good stuff, though.

SkateForce, tell old mate to use a higher filter in the enlarger for the last two, it ups the contrast... If there was no filter used, I'd recommend a 3.5 or 4... But you have to increase exposure time as well, so do more test strips.

Oh and by the way, unless he's made of money, tell him they're test strips Wink Laughing

Awesome pics though, gotta love old schooling it!

SkateForce, do you need some enlargements made? I run an oversize print shop. I'v got printers (high quality inkjet) that range from 36" to 126" wide by any length... full color baby! Very Happy

SkateForce, There's this real cool thing I've used when developing my own pictures. It's called the sabatier effect. It turns the print into kind of reversal in black/silver. First you expose the paper for a little more than half the required time. Then you take out the negative and turn the light up almost all the way. Next take the exposed paper and start developing it. As soon as you see the picture, take it out of the developer and immediately put it under the enlarger and expose for 2-3 seconds. Then put it back in the developer and finish the process normally. It takes some time, but some of the shots you get are amazing. just something you might want to share with your friend

here's some more info about it if you're interested, http://unblinkingeye.com/Articles/Solarization/solarization.html
