Hey guys i just wanted to thank the PIMP winching system guys from tallahassee... this weekend they invited me and my cousin (kyle41) to come out and test his winch... we chilled at his place looking at new winch designs, building a small incline rail, and shreding a nearby lake for hours (we took a few vids and pics so hopefully john and chris will post them up soon Smile

).... they are awesome for taking us in and we appreciate it immensly... i love this sport so much that guys weve never even met are cool enough to let us stay with them for a weekend and just shred behind their winch...

ok that is enough ranting for me Embarassed

... i just had to get a thank you out there!!!

TheLeprechaun, i wish i was there, chris told me to come but i left for colorado on friday and im here till wednesday.. damn i want to see the vid

. Enough with that though the pimp winch guys couldnt have been nicer. We put together a winch using some of my parts and one of there new aluminum frames. Deffinately the lightest winch i have picked up yet. I just gotta figure out a spool system and ill be ready to go. Ill have pics up soon.

lake tarpon, chris told me he had never hit a rail before so we built a little incline to play with while i was there and by the end of the day he had stuck 2 shuv off's Twisted Evil

... it was so nice i even had to do my legit dance lol

FingersMcGee, ya the shop screwed up on my order so they gave me an electric start for the same price to make up for it. I dont really intend on using it but once i get the winch finished i might hook a battery up to it and see how it works. It just seems like more weight and more stuff to break though.

You might want to see if the electric start needs a whole load of juice or whether your trailer plug on the back of your car can handle the amps. That way, you could just plug your winch up when you're running the winch off the back of the car.
You could run a Hifi amplifier wire from the battery to an unused pin on the plug or to a separate plug if you found that you didnt have the suitable wire thickness on the original plug.

You certainly wouldn't have to lug a car battery around with you Very Happy

sparrow.2, thats funny cause we already had that in the works... we just needed to buy the right wiring... im sure the trailer plug would work but if not were definately just goin to run a strait cord from the battery

yea man i should be heading back over there in no time... where do you stay... my friends live off of ocala road in the players club Cool

... and the pimp winch guys live like 1 mile down the road from there... we should hit up some winching next time were over there
